Peter Sanders Exhibition: The Art of Intergration in Great Britain
More than 30 portraits by celebrated photojournalist Peter Sanders lined the galleria corridor of Georgetown University's Intercultural Center in an exhibition detailing the lives of British Muslims. Capping the all-day exhibition was a reception featuring Shahid Malik, the first Muslim elected to British Parliament.
Dominic Martin, Counsellor at the British Embassy Washington, responsible for Political and Public Affairs, offers some operning remarks as the reception crowd gathers around the exhibition in the Intercultural Center galleria.
Senior ACMCU Researcher, Hadia Mubarak (left) and Associate Director for Public Relations, Huma Malik (right) share a laugh during the reception.

Dr. John Voll, ACMCU Associate Director for Academic Programs and Professor of Islamic History, enterains a group of young ladies as the reception kicks into gear.
Shahid Malik, Minister for International Development of the United Kingdom, draws the evening to a close with his keynote address. Mr. Malik's remarks struck a hopeful chord with attendees when he reminded everyone that all those who doubt the capacity for Muslims and Christians to work and live together, need look no further than the vivid images of interfaith living captured by Peter Sanders.
