Master of Arts in Liberal Studies: Islam and Muslim-Christian Relations

The center established the Master of Arts Degree in Liberal Studies in "Islam and Muslim-Christian Relations" in 1998 to foster a better global understanding of Islam and Muslim-Christian relations. The degree requires that candidates complete ten courses, a total of thirty credits, which include one Core Course and one Human Values Course (or two Core Courses) and a thesis.

Candidates must complete seven courses in the field of Islam and Muslim-Christian Relations and choose three additional courses from this field, other related Liberal Studies fields, or other relevant Georgetown University departmental courses. Each candidate will be assigned a mentor (faculty member of the Center) to provide advice on establishing a long-range program.

The Liberal Studies Degree program is part of the University's School of Continuing Education. Most students in this program pursue their studies on a part-time basis thus financial assistance opportunities are limited. For more information on the admissions process, financial aid or to enroll in the degree program, please visit the Liberal Studies website, or contact the Liberal Studies Degree Program at the Office of Continuing Education;

Please note that ACMCU is not involved in admissions or financial aid decisions for any graduate programs. All inquiries related to admissions and financial assistance should be directed to the program to which you are interested in applying. While the Center is presently unable to offer scholarships, the program is being reviewed to assess the feasibility of graduate student funding.
